Bicycle Accidents

We understand cyclists. Whether you’re riding a road bike, touring bike, racing bike, a recumbent, a tandem, whatever the ride, you’re seriously overmatched in weight and visibility to the average motorist, who also often doesn’t understand or pay attention to the law requiring them to share the roads with you, and to yield to you for your safety. So when bicycle accidents happen, they tend to be violent and cause significant injuries. We are experts with such cases and getting you economic justice.

Sadly, bicycle accidents happen all the time here in California, where we cycle for pleasure on the beaches, through the mountains, on the phenomenal roads of both rural counties and in urban environments to commute. And the national statistics for such accidents are staggering. Too many reckless motorists do not obey the rules of the road and exercise appropriate caution towards cyclists when driving.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that there were 44,000 bicyclists injured in 2006 and nearly 800 killed. Males account for the vast majority of bicycle injuries and deaths, and children between the ages of 5 and 15 are involved in nearly 20 percent of all bicycle accident cases. The odds are great that if you cycle, you may get hit, and if you do, we welcome the opportunity to handle your case.
