When you travel alongside large trucks and vehicles, you shouldn’t drive in their blind spots. Remember, if you can’t see their mirrors, they can’t see you.
- Look ahead for troubling traffic hazards
It’s a good idea to not only look at the vehicle ahead of you but also the vehicle ahead of it. If the vehicles up ahead begin to slow, you can begin to slow down, even if the person in front of you doesn’t.
- Make judgments based on appearance
While it’s usually not nice to judge on appearance, judging a car’s appearance could save you a lot of trouble. If it has plenty of scrapes and dents, it’s possible the driver is reckless.
