Los Angeles County public health officials announced a five-stage “Recovery Roadmap” on Wednesday, May 6, which eases some aspects of Safer at Home orders issued on March 19. Here’s what you need to know about Friday’s arrival of the county’s “Stage 2” of business reopening:

The decision

• What it is: Stage 2 is the county’s first step in easing orders that have kept everyone inside, with the exception of “essential businesses” (now regarded as Phase 1)
• What it’s note: It is not a complete listing of the order, which continues until at least May 15. Public officials could re-impose the tougher orders if the disease surges.

Health officials recommend having food and medicine delivered and to call medical providers if even mild symptoms arise.
